LABELVIEW allows you to design labels. The tool has a modern intuitive interface, very similar in style to Microsoft Office tools, which is great for those users who have previous experience with Excel or Word. Fortunately, the most complex tasks are done with the help of wizards. However, the program can still have a steep learning curve, which is minimized if you consult the abundant help documentation available, including brochures, administrator guide, installation guide, tutorials and user guide.
One of the above mentioned wizards takes you through the steps of creating a new label, such as selecting the desired printer, adjusting page format and size, choosing a label size and layout, and importing a background picture. Another possibility is to start from one of the sample labels and modify it to meet your needs.
The tool gives you absolute freedom to create the kinds of label you prefer. In this respect, it supports using a wide array of objects, including texts, barcodes and images. It is good to know that the product allows merging contents by creating not only fixed but also variable objects. Luckily, there is also a wizard to help you create variable objects of several types. For instance, the wizard to create barcodes lets you pick the desired symbology (postal, linear, 2D and composite). Next, if you want to create variable barcodes, they can be generated by a counter or a formula as well as from the current date or a database field. To add a personalized touch, you can also draw rectangles, circles, ellipses, polygons, rounded rectangles, arrows and symbols. more
