LABELVIEW allows you to design labels. The tool has a modern intuitive interface, very similar in style to Microsoft Office tools, which is great for those users who have previous experience with Excel or Word.
One of the above mentioned wizards takes you through the steps of creating a new label, such as selecting the desired printer, adjusting page format and size, choosing a label size and layout, and importing a background picture. Another possibility is to start from one of the sample labels and modify it to meet your needs.
The tool gives you absolute freedom to create the kinds of label you prefer. In this respect, it supports using a wide array of objects, including texts, barcodes and images. It is good to know that the product allows merging contents by creating not only fixed but also variable objects. Luckily, there is also a wizard to help you create variable objects of several types. For instance, the wizard to create barcodes lets you pick the desired symbology (postal, linear, 2D and composite). Next, if you want to create variable barcodes, they can be generated by a counter or a formula as well as from the current date or a database field. To add a personalized touch, you can also draw rectangles, circles, ellipses, polygons, rounded rectangles, arrows and symbols.
One of the main assets of LABELVIEW is derived from its support of merging data from various sources. Thus, in addition to using its built-in database manager, you can also import data from external databases. This includes extracting data from an ASCII table or via ODBC or OLEDB queries. As the final aim of the process of creating labels is logically printing them, it is excellent that LABELVIEW supports connecting to a long list of printers.
It is evident that the complexity of this product makes it inappropriate for personal use; instead, it is businesses and institutions which can get the most of it by automating the process of label creation to a great extent.
The product is distributed as a suite that includes other auxiliary programs, such as Click Print, Database Manager, Font Downloader, Form Designer, Form Viewer, LABEL MATRIX Converter, LABELVIEW Converter and Network Administration. It has three editions: Pro and Gold. In this respect, the Gold edition, which is the most complete one, can be tried for 30 days at no cost. Unfortunately, the download link is not readily available: you first need to fill out a form and, what is more, the authorization may take some time to get to your email inbox.

When you download it, it puts a bunch of stuff on your computer. Changes your home page and gives you a bunch of worthless pop-ups. I have notified the attorney general and FCC but not sure when it will be resolved.
